What a fantastic day for the youth crews on Sunday, rowing in beautiful sunshine in the lovely setting of South Queensferry.
Kate, Lara, David, Maedoc, Brody and Robbie rowed brilliantly to bring home lots of medals while competing against 6 other clubs from the East Coast & Ireland.
Kate, Lara, David & Robbie were 2nd in the mixed U19 missing 1st by half a second!
Maedoc, David, Robbie & Kate were 1st in the U19 Male and were the fastest crew of the day while Brody had a row with Eastern and narrowly missed 3rd place. Kate was crew in the Eastern boat which came 3rd in U19 female category. In the pick and mix race Lara was 1st in the Eastern boat, David was 2nd in Ellie’s boat & Robbie was 3rd with the Devron crew. A very successful day!
The Foccrs who towed and coxed did a customary magnificent job adding to the spirit of the day and helping make it all possible. Queensferry hosted a great day and the food was delicious. The Foccrs are looking forward to going back next year and hopefully some of the club’s new youth rowers will be joining the team.
